Studies have shown that, over time some chemicals commonly found in some personal care products such as Triethanol (DEA) and Sodium Laurel Sulfate (SLS) can be absorbed into your skin and may accumulate in the tissues and organs of the body. This may result in liver, nerve and brain damage (Matthew et el, 1995) (Essential Oils Desk Reference' Essential Science Publishing, 3rd Edition May 2007). To this end natural skin care products are increasing in popularity.

Here at Sedona Aromatherapie we wanted to create a natural range of skin care products that were gentle enough for everyone to use confidently. And so we proudly introduce our 'Collections'.

COLLECTiONS

This 'collection' of skin care aromatherapy products have been inspired by various places in my life in the USA. Each is a unique fragrance with unique properties that is carried throughout the line of products offered individually, as Gift Bag 'sets' or as the entire 2 oz or 4 oz collections. Each 'collection' contains the following products: Face moisturizer, Luxury foot cream, Luxury Hand/body lotion, Bubblebath, Massage oil and Mist spray. Once tried, you'll be cleaning out your bath cupboards to make room for more!

'Sedona'

'Sedona' is obviously inspired by the beautiful town in which I live, where Cypress trees are evident, but cross cultural elements are merged together in this range of skin care blends. With essences of Arizona (cypress), my 'previous' life in England (rose) and a subtle twist of the Mediterranean (orange), these blends are designed to nourish and restore the skin whilst intoxicating the senses. Sedona, the remarkable woman our town was named after, would have approved.......

'Jerome'

Jerome is a historic mining and once 'ghost town' now almost exclusively the domain of fascinated tourists, located within a thirty minute drive of Sedona high atop 'Cleopatra Hill', part of Northern Arizona's Black Hills range. Once fabulously wealthy, it is said to be haunted with the spirits of its previous 'Wild West' occupants, when drinking, gambling and prostitution prevailed. It is for this reason I chose to incorporate the exotic essences of Ylang Ylang, Palmarosa and a classic ingredient of eau-de-cologne Petitgrain into the mysterious and hedonistic 'Jerome' formula. The 'soiled doves' who still haunt it's cobblestone walkways must be stirring in their, well, you know.....

'Ocean Beach'

Ocean Beach was 'discovered' by my husband several decades ago as a secreted surfer sanctuary, which remains part of its rich culture today. Arguably inhabitants of the California beach town that has changed the least, locals are surfers-young-and-seasoned, students, artists and artisans, street people, the very rich, bikers, and dogs. Holidays there have quickly become my favourites for their healing and rejuvenating days and nights. With a fragrant blend of merging elements, from olde English seaside towns to laid-back California hangouts and an exotic twist from the Medditeranean, 'Ocean Beach' will heal and rejuvenate you every day.....

'Pompei Antica'

Inspired by a recent trip to Italy and an excursion to the amazing archeological site that was the grand city of Pompeii prior to the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD - 'Pompei Antica' utilizes ingredients that were actually prevelant in Pompeian gardens and were used in ancient perfume making, conjuring up images of pure sensory indulgence.

Rose (rosa damascena) and fennel (foeniculum vulgare) essential oils are excellent skin care agents, particularly for the mature complexion. And I have included the luxurious myrrh, certainly one of the most prized of essential oils during the lifetime of Pompeii.

I am afraid this collection is not recommended for use during pregnancy or with epilepsy as this blend is a little more 'volatile' than our other collections.
